Good deals, poor packaging and delivery. Part of my ordered contained chocolate. They put 1 tiny ice pack in the package. The ice pack was warm by the time it got to us. The chocolate was completely melted and unsalvageable.

Bought a one-pound bag. After receiving I went right back to order 5 pounds. Fresh. Here is how to tell if fresh or stale:
Bit-O-Honey can be a little firm, but it’s not supposed to be rock‑hard. Its normal texture is:
Chewy and slightly sticky, like a firmer taffy
Soft enough to bite into without risking a tooth
Not brittle — it shouldn’t snap or crack
When Bit-O-Honey gets old, stale, or stored in cold/dry conditions, it becomes much harder than intended. Bulk bags—like the one you have open in another tab —can sometimes sit in warehouses long enough to firm up.
